9th Successor of DON BOSCO Rev. Fr. Pascual Chavez (Rector Major) visited Kolkata on 25th February. It was a memorable event for the Salesian family. Six youth representatives from the Parish took an active part in the session with him at Don Bosco Park Circus. The Salesians from the Shrine community pose for a photograph with him. |

The Diamond Jubilee of the priestly ordination of Fr. Louis Gobetti falls on 23rd March 2005. The Jubilee year commenced at Bandel with a special remembrance of his priesthood on Holy Thursday (24th March). During the year ahead, there will be many occasions to thank and praise God for the 60 years of his priestly ministry. [A folder on Fr. Gobetti is enclosed with this issue of OLB].

| Grotto to OUR LADY OF HAPPY VOYAGE at Penrose Park (Australia) was blessed and dedicated on Sunday 27th February 2005. Penrose Park is half-way between Sydney and Canberra on the Hume Freeway. This grotto was built by the Anglo-Indian Community under the leadership of Mel Andrews. | |||||||||||||||||||

| Mrs. Tara Gandhi, wife of the West Bengal Governor, visited the Basilica along with her sister and nephew on Monday, 7th March. She was happy to recall her student days in Catholic institutions. |
